Wizard School Scavenger Hunts for
Harry Potter Fans at Museums
Throughout the U.S.

Harry Potter fans can bring the wizarding world to life by joining a Wizard School Scavenger Hunt at one of seven leading art museums.

Celebrate the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 by joining one of our unique scavenger hunt games this July.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

Your team of up to six people will explore exhibits featuring artwork and items reminiscent of Harry Potter’s adventures while tackling witty, tricky questions. The game can be enjoyed by both Harry Potter fans and people who are new to the young wizard’s adventures. Although previous knowledge can be helpful, we provide a cheat sheet of wizarding terms to help out those who aren’t Potter experts. This hunt is designed for kids and adults to do together, but all-adult teams will be allowed to compete separately.

To participate, reserve tickets for a public scavenger hunt or stage a private event for a birthday party, Bar/Bat Mitzvah or other occasion.

The Wizard School Scavenger Hunt
For Harry Potter Fans ages 10 and up
Follow in the footsteps of young wizards on a field trip to the museum in search of art that echoes characters, places and enchanted objects in the famed Harry Potter books and movies. Be prepared to track down a powerful sorceress, a Snape-like potions master, flying owls and dragons, Hagrid-like giants, centaurs and unicorns like those you’d see in the Forbidden Forest, strange mermaids and sharks that seem straight out of the Triwizard Tournament, fierce knights in armor, and cloaked and masked figures as scary as any Death Eater or Dementor. Wizards and muggles (i.e., people who aren’t Potter experts) can play and enjoy this game. The hunt is not an addition to or variation on Harry’s adventures, but instead references to the books will provide a surprising bridge to many strange and wonderful works of art. It’s a great way to discover—or rediscover—your favorite art museum. Kids must be accompanied by adults. For ages 10 and up.

Available at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Getty Center in Los Angeles, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
