See the best of Washington…
…on a whirlwind hunt that takes you uptown, downtown, and all around town. On teams, you’ll travel by limo or mass transit to explore Lafayette Park (which faces the White House), the Library of Congress, the Vietnam Memorial, Chinatown, the FDR Memorial, the Hirshhorn Sculpture Garden, the Smithsonian, and more. But that’s not all: along the way, you’ll also answer tricky, humorous questions about what you find to uncover D.C.’s hidden history.
Highlights include…
- The legendary Willard Hotel, where Martin Luther King Jr. wrote his “I Have a Dream” speech and Lincoln ordered a lot of champagne
- The Air and Space Museum, where you must find wartime enemies plotting against the U.S.
- The U.S. Botanic Garden, where you’ll be challenged to locate an Rx in the jungle
- The spectacular Reading Room in the Library of Congress
- A view of Chinatown that will take you back in time
- The Star-Spangled Banner at the National Museum of American History
…and on and on. Meanwhile, during your journey from point to point, the Hunt Host will contact you to tackle tricky trivia questions.
You don’t need any previous knowledge to triumph. You just need to use your wits and collaborate with your team.

A team-building game you can play anywhere
Celebrate all things Washington while completing a variety of surprising challenges on a scavenger hunt you can play anywhere. On teams, you’ll take creative team photos, find or create unusual items, crack a mystery message, and meet with the Hunt Host for a bonus challenge. And many of the tasks will prompt you to celebrate the people, places, food, and history of Washington, D.C.
You might be challenged to take photos of the team…
- Posing with a statue as if you’re debating on the Senate floor
- Treating something old-timey as if you are curators from the Smithsonian.
- Eating something with cherries, in a tribute to D.C.’s cherry trees.
Plus you might celebrate such local delicacies as Mumbo Sauce, Ben’s Chili Bowl, and Chinatown specialties; American Beauty roses, the official flower of D.C.; local music heroes like Duke Ellington, Marvin Gaye and the Foo Fighters; sports such as the Nationals, the Wizards, and the Capitals; classic movies shot in D.C., such as All the President’s Men, The Exorcist, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier; great performances at the Kennedy Center, and much more.
