The Tampa Bay History Mysteries Scavenger Hunt
From pioneers to pirates to ballplayers and beyond
Go on a whirlwind tour across the centuries on a scavenger hunt at the surprising Tampa Bay History Center. On teams, you’ll follow clues and wend your way through re-creations of various periods of Florida’s past to answer tricky, humorous questions about what you discover.
The museum’s displays are packed with interesting information presented in innovative, multimedia displays. You’ll witness hair-raising battles, visit a cigar-making factory and an old-time cigar store, ride through a steer roundup and avoid a stampede, ponder a local celebrity mermaid, marvel at sports memorabilia, read stirring stories of Tampa’s men and women at war overseas, and join a crew of cut-throat pirates on an overseas quest.
No knowledge of Tampa’s history is required: you just need good teamwork, sharp eyes, and comfy shoes. Come see for yourself why we think this new location on the Riverwalk is one of America’s best history museums. And after the hunt, you could relax at the new outpost of the legendary Columbia restaurant of Ybor City.
