The San Diego Museum of Natural Hysteria Scavenger Hunt
Risk a case of Natural History Museum mania
You don’t need to know a dinosaur from a daisy on this San Diego museum scavenger hunt that’s a whirlwind team-building adventure. That said, by the end you will come away with your mind filled with amazing sights—and new bonds formed with your teammates. This game is a test of teamwork, where each player’s talents are called upon to earn points…and high fives.
The objective: follow a trail of clues that lead to objects on display and answer tricky questions about them. Along the way, you’ll also need to get creative for some team photos, plus you’ll tackle a surprise challenge with the Hunt Host. Your quest will take you to every floor of the museum in 90 minutes that will fly by.
Your scavenger hunt your team might…
- Expose a myth about a rattlesnake’s rattle.
- Discover why a pelican’s eggs weren’t over easy.
- Gasp at the killing spree committed by an invasive household member.
- Unravel with your eyes an anaconda skin to find a giant with a double-W smile.
- Track down the “wolf” inside your iPhone.
Again, no previous knowledge of natural history, or even unnatural history, is required. You just need sharp eyes, comfy shoes, and a brave, bold, unflinching stance toward the mysteries of Mother Nature. Oh, and good teamwork.
Weather-proof and open late
The Natural History Museum scavenger hunt is a great indoor alternative to other activities that aren’t immune to weather. Plus the museum is open until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, which makes it great for an after-work activity. If you have colleagues whose first language isn’t English, we have an International Edition.
Looking for a great field trip that will delight kids and adults alike? Try the Kids Edition for ages 7 and up.
