Perfect the Art of the After-Hunt Drink

Watson Adventures After-Hunt DrinksThe mystery has been solved, the killer caught—the hard work is finished. Now it’s time to toast your victory and relive the excitement of an entertaining scavenger hunt.

Many of our customers who book private hunts decide to finish the game at a bar or restaurant—and often we can make recommendations where to celebrate. Here, for example, are some of our favorite post-hunt venues in New York City, from the heights of the High Line to the river’s edge in Dumbo.

The High Line: Drinks with a View

Among the tremendous views available on the High Line at Sunset Scavenger Hunt, the glistening Whitney Museum of American Art stands out as one of the most distinct and striking. Relax with a choice rosé at Untitled, the museum’s lauded ground-floor restaurant, or spring for museum admission and drink in the spectacular sights (and wines) on the eighth floor’s outdoor Studio Café.

Grand Central Terminal: Let’s Get Fancy

After uncovering the Secrets of Grand Central, tipple in 1920s style in the elegant, opulent Campbell Apartment in the terminal, just off Vanderbilt Avenue. Or on the lower level, enjoy cocktails and 30 different types of oysters at the venerable Grand Central Oyster Bar.

Dumbo, Brooklyn: Drinkin’ on the River

The Dumbo Dash Scavenger Hunt tours one of Brooklyn’s coolest neighborhoods, awash in hidden history and popular watering holes. Enjoy a DUMBO Rita at the open-air Brooklyn Bridge Garden Bar or go more casual with beer and a pie at the famous Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. A truly unforgettable evening might include a stop at the breathtaking River Café that sits at the waterfront.

The Met Museum: Relaxing Inside and Out

And there’s the Murder at the Met Scavenger Hunt. The Roof Garden Café and Martini Bar pairs wine, beer, and specialty cocktails with rooftop art and a sweeping panorama of Central Park and Midtown Manhattan. If you’d prefer to relax inside (away from the summer heat), the Great Hall Balcony Bar features live music and overlooks (you guessed it) the Great Hall.
