Gangsters’ New York Hunt
Meeting Place Info

Bring Your E-Ticket and/or Confirmation Number to the Hunt: After you complete your online ticket purchase, you will see an on-screen “e-ticket” that you should print out and bring to the hunt. If you purchase tickets over the phone, you will receive a confirmation number that you should bring to the hunt. You must have a valid e-ticket or confirmation number to participate in the hunt. You will also receive an e-mail receipt of your purchase. No tickets will be sold at the hunt. If you need to purchase tickets, return to the Hunt Schedule.

Meeting Place: In Chinatown, at the entrance to Columbus Park on Mulberry Street near Bayard St. (That is one block south of Canal Street as you head into Chinatown on Mulberry.) Near the park entrance, look for a group of people and our crew wearing burgundy Watson Adventures caps. See more details below on how to get there.

Meeting Time: Please be ready to hunt at the time indicated on your e-ticket .

What if the Weather Is Horrible? At least two hours before the hunt, we will have an announcement on the Hunt Hotline if we are forced to cancel the hunt due to bad weather: Call 877-9-GO HUNT, extension 12. If the hunt is canceled, please contact us at rsvp@watsonadventures.com or 877-9-GO-HUNT, extension 12, to reschedule to another date.

Forming a Team: The hunt is played on teams of up to six people. You can bring your own team and hunt with as few as two on a team, or we can help you band together with kindred spirits at the start of the hunt. Over the years, we’ve found that “pick up” teams often have the most fun, not just because the hunt is a bit easier with more brains working on the questions, but also because the hunters have fun getting to know each other. Your team can have more than six people, but you will not be eligible to win a prize. But maybe that’s not your priority anyway! The main objective is to have fun.

Prizes: Each member of the winning team will receive a prize (it’s a sur-prize). Plus if you fill out a survey after the hunt, you’ll be eligible to win free admission to a future hunt.

How to Prepare: Be comfortable! Don’t carry anything heavy, and definitely wear comfortable shoes! If the weather is hot, bring water or money to buy a beverage during the hunt—you’ll pass many places to buy food and drink.

How to Get There: Go to www.explorechinatown.com for comprehensive information on how to get to Chinatown and for an excellent map—the number 9 on the map is at the intersection of Mulberry and Bayard, and the meeting place is opposite the nearby "P" on the map, which marks a parking garage. If you are coming by subway, make sure to check for service disruptions by visiting www.mta.info/nyct/service/subsrvno.htm. Hopstop.com can be helpful with subway directions, too.
