Cradle of Aviation Museum: The Plane Crazy Scavenger Hunt
You dont have to love planes to find this hunt fun and fascinating. The flight plan here is to zero in on the most surprising and funny facts and objects in the amazing collection of the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Youll encounter plenty of real planes, of course, from the dawn of flight to an acutal lunar landing module. But youll also discover a World War I garage, the 1920s Hempstead Plains, astronaut food, quirky pioneers of flight, cranky neighbors, and much more. But you dont need to know anything about aviation to have fun and triumph on this hunt. Youll peer into cockpits and dodge propellers while searching for the answers to such questions as...
Which president flew the bouncing bovine below a dragon kite? Answer: Lincoln Beachey flew an airship called the Rubber Cow, as seen in a photo.
What did a naval officer change after hearing complaints about early flying hours from a resident of Lloyds Neck? Answer: He moved the training flight time from 5 a.m. to 4 a.m.
The museum stands at the airfield where Lindbergh took off for his historic solo flight across the Atlantic. How many bounces it take him fly? Answer: His plane bounced four times before getting airborne, as seen in a video.
We have adult and family versions of this hunt, both of which last for 90 minutes. Add Team Photo Questions for extra fun and souvenirs you can take home with you.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration: The Colonial Calamities Scavenger Hunt
Old Bethpage Village Restoration has taken 209 acres and turned them into a time machine that transports you to the 18th century, with 51 historic buildings from the era and few re-creations. The resulting village includes homes, a general store, an inn, farms, a blacksmith shop, a schoolhouse, a cemetery, a more. You can go inside these houses an ask questions of people playing the roles of the people who would have lived there. It all combines for prime scavenger hunt territory.
